Hi! My name is Trent Brook, and I am the founder of Diget, a community edited financial news site. This is my blog, and part-time hobby. I originally started this blog to learn more about using the totally awesome, open-source WordPress, and have since decided to put it to further use.
While I may only post here infrequently, I do want to make it worthwhile for the three to four visitors that come here each month. So that I don’t waste their time, I will be posting on such topics as starting a business, working your tail off, enjoying great music, learning new things, and anything else that strikes my fancy.
When not posting here, I am busily working to build Diget into a useful online resource for anyone wanting to share financial news from around the web. I am not a programmer. That should be evident from the basic functionality built into Diget. And while I once harbored aspirations to be a graphic designer. I am not one.
What am I then? Well, I am an aspiring media entreprenuer. I am interested in how the Internet is always in a state of flux (Prodigy? MySpace? Anyone?), and how to design a site that helps individuals organize, share, and discuss compelling content. I am also a lover of fine wine, great food, and excellent movies.
Now that we have the introductions out of the way, let me just say thank you for reading thus far. If you would like to join the ranks of my regular blog visitors, you are most welcome to do so. And if you are interested in technology, business, and finance, then you can make no better decision than to become a frequent visitor to Diget as well.
